Social media is so powerful that some argue Russian manipulation of it changed the result of an American presidential election. In the employment context, social media is pervasive, and encompasses interactions between employers and employees, among co-workers, and between staff and the outside world. It can be a challenge for multinational companies to craft, implement and enforce a social media policy that proliferates across all jurisdictions in play.
