As use of software-as-a-service (SaaS) has grown, so have the associated security threats. According to AppOmni’s 2025 State of SaaS Security Report (Report), there is a significant disconnect between organizations’ confidence in the security of their sanctioned SaaS applications and the dramatic increase in reported breaches involving SaaS. Drawing from a survey of more than 800 IT and security professionals, the Report explores organizations’ approaches to SaaS management, risk assessment and monitoring, ownership of responsibility for SaaS security and approaches to SaaS security monitoring.
